Elite Training Squad Information

Elite Training Squad.

Trial open to all Sport Gulf Harbour members March 4 2012 9am at Wentworth College. It is a requirement that  all members of the elite squad play at least one sport for SGH.

This squad is designed for children who excel in sport and want to learn skills that will help them become top sports people.

The course will run for the year and the squad will meet once a month to participate in modules covering the following aspects: physical skills,fitness, how to approach training, learning to win, goal setting, nutritionand coordination.

All children are eligible and will be selected by elite squad trainers.

Sport Gulf Harbour and the Elite Squad are proud to announce their scholarship partnership with Wentworth College.

Wentworth have generously given Premiere Sport Scholarships to children from the Elite Squad since 2010, enabling children from our local area who are leaders in sport to remain locally and therefore further develop sport in our community. The scholarship was open to all children in Year 6 & above, from the Elite Squad, to apply.  Bruce Tong was very impressed with the calibre of children who applied and the enormous effort gone into the applications, you should all be very proud of your efforts.
