Netball

Netball is an ‘iconic' sport for most Kiwi Girls. It combines motor skills, general fitness and team work and is a great way to encourage and promote healthy competition with a lot of fun.

As part of Sport Gulf Harbour, we are open to any child who lives in the community and teams are coached & managed by volunteers who are equally as passionate about the game as your child is.

The official season for Netball starts 29th April 2010 and goes for approximately 16 weeks, finishing early September. All games are played at the Netball Courts at Edith Hopper Park (off Ladies Mile) in Manly. Games for Years 3 - 6 are held on Thursday afternoons from 3.50pm. Games for Years 7/8 and over are held on Saturday mornings.

There is a ‘Fun Ferns' basic skills course (dates to follow - normally end of July for 6 weeks) for Year 1 - 3 girls. Registration will be on the HBC netball site nearer the time. These are also held at Edith Hopper Park.

Twilight Netball (Summer Netball) starts mid October through to December (6 weeks) and is also held at Edith Hopper Park, Manly on Thursday afternoons. This is a great way to keep their skills going and also is a little more ‘relaxed' and nice to get to play in the daylight and in warmer climate!!!  Please look out for registration forms on this site nearer the time.

For any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the Netball Delegates for Sport Gulf Harbour.
